When Is A Home Lift Not A Home Lift

When is a home lift not a home lift?

Customisable home lifts to suit your individual needs by Easy Living Home Elevators

If you’re interested in investing in a home lift, but have reservations about the lift’s effect on your overall home decor, you’ll be happy to know that there is something that can be done.

Whether you want the home lift to stand out as a room feature or just subtly exist in the background, either option is available to you! There are plenty of variations for your home lift; it’s all just a matter of preference.

If you’re building or renovating your home, now is the perfect time to revitalise your whole decor with a new look, by taking care of your home and elevator’s decor in one swoop. The clients of this particular DomusXL home lift in Brighton, Victoria did just that with the help of Wood / Marsh Architecture.

The clients wanted a ‘warm and fuzzy’ feeling with luxury products high on the agenda and easy accessibility within all two levels of the home. This was achieved with the DomusXL home lift, the seamless connection between interior spaces was also considered very important. They achieved this by taking a page from the latest trend “designer book wallpaper” and turned the swing door of their DomusXL home lift into a well read companion of impressive vintage books even without a library. This novel design idea heightened the feel and transformed the room into an interesting library-look space full of impact. And by matching the home lift doors with the wall aesthetic, the elevator simply disappeared.

The architect further customised the DomusXL home lift by using LED strip lights recessed into the ceiling and finishing off the side wall inside the elevator with wall paper. To heighten the feel, within the elevator space, as well as a contemporary design with edge.
