Like many of our other fellow Aussies around the country, our hearts are heavy.Â
It is estimated that 10 million Australians have been affected by the recent flooding, with tens of thousands of homes and businesses left without power. While many Australians have been separated from their family unsure of when they will be able to see them again.Â
As an Australian local businesses operating in both Queensland and NSW, we were deeply touched by the recent impacts of this disaster. While we strive to do everything we can to ensure our team and their families in these effected areas are safe and well, we want to do more.
Kicking off on Friday 18th March, we are proud to introduce the Easy Living Flood Relief. In partnership with our team, incredible customers and the Australian Red Cross we have the goal of raising a minimum of $5,000. Because we know every small contribution will make a huge difference, Easy Living Home Elevators will match dollar-for-dollar up to $5,000 to help Australian Red Cross provide the need to these flood affected areas.Â
How these funds will help?
Donations to the QLD and NSW Floods Appeal will help Red Cross provide vital humanitarian support to the people and communities affected by the floods.  
Based on ongoing needs assessment in Queensland and NSW and amount raised, that support may include:
- Support to immediate response on the ground including evacuations and relief centres 
- Enable longer term recovery work in flood-impacted communities
- Contribute to the ongoing funding of the cash assistance grants program
- Contribute to the essential support costs to make all this work possible 
Every dollar counts:
- $60 can help fund the service to reconnect families in disasters, reducing a major source of trauma.
- $100 can help us call 10 people after an emergency to check on their wellbeing and offer support.
- $500 can help run an emergency operations centre to coordinate our volunteers
- $1,200 can get a Red Cross disaster outreach team on the road
Helping those affected by disasters is really important to to us and we would love your support.
