In pole position on the Great Ocean Road, sits the iconic Pole House, a manmade natural attraction. Built originally in the late 1970s, this experimental beach house recently fell victim to old age. Franco Fiorentini from F2 Architecture was given the opportunity to renovate this home. What’s more, the owners, Kathi and Raymond Adams decided to include a two-storey counterpoint residence that sits unobtrusively at the rear of the site amongst the vegetation, yet rises to the occasion in subtle ways. The practical need for mobility brought the Adams family to Easy Living Home Elevators.

Mrs Adams said the more open, accessible design for the new home was needed because her husband Raymond had become wheelchair-bound since they bought the property.
They chose the Easy Living Evolution lift, due to its attention to detail and luxurious Italian finishes to the highest standards as well as the fact that the elevator will effectively turn the multi-level home into a single level at the push of a button, adding luxury, style, convenience and value. The residential lift was installed inside a masonry shaft clad with a spectacular curved feature wall covered with warm burnt ash timber, in perfect harmony with the surrounding environment.
