Works by Others.

TOWER STRUCTURE: For tower structures a suitable lift base and finish to floor penetrations must be provided prior to Easy Living Home Elevators commencing on site. Finishing to the lift tower is required prior to Easy Living Home Elevators completion.
- The tower structure is of standard design and is suitable to support the lift only and cannot be used as a structural member for the surrounding building.

INTERNAL PANELS: The lift complete with tower can be fitted to an owners supplied shaft or have sheeting attached directly to the tower. Cladding to lift tower must be in compliance with the lift code.

FIXINGS: For tower structures, fixings are required in the pit, each landing entrance and at the top of the shaft tower. At the top of the tower, a suitable point must be provided to fix to. Please discuss with Project Manager.

OUTSIDE STRUCTURE: For outside tower structures internal wind bracing will be required.

SHAFT FINISH: A smooth and plumb surface shall be provided. Ensure shaft is stripped, cleaned, holes patched and free of construction debris and formwork nails or other protrusions prior to Easy Living Home Elevators start on site.

Glass Doors: In addition to the above. If glass doors have been ordered, the inside of the lift shaft is visible from the landing so rendering and/or painting is recommended. Note: Overall shaft sizes must be maintained.

FIXED AGAINST WALL: For tower structures fixed against a vertical wall, the wall must be plumb to +/-10mm in total, subject to a site visit and measure.

TOLERANCE: Tolerance of vertical floor to floor heights is +/-4mm from Finished Floor Level.

THROUGH A FLOOR: For tower structures that run through a floor, we require 35mm clearance on all sides.

EXTERNAL INSTALL: Cladding supplied must be 41m/s wind loading compliance and must be in compliance with the lift code.

EXPOSED TO WEATHER: For tower structures where the landing entrance is exposed to weather, we recommend an awning to be fitted over the tower entrances, subject to site specific conditions.

SHAFT ROOF: Lift shaft roof must be a solid, non-perforated material, permanently fixed – not removable from the outside and of sufficient strength to support the weight of a person, nominally 120kg.

OVERHEAD CEILING: For tower structures where there is an overhead ceiling, a recess of 130mm high x the width of the tower + 70mm x depth of the tower + 70mm is required. This recess must have a top that can support 120kg and can support the top of the tower loads.

SHAFT BARRICADE: Supply, install and maintain shaft protection barricades to each lift entrance.

SHAFT LIGHTING: By Easy Living Home Elevators.

SHAFT CONDUIT: By Easy Living Home Elevators.

PIT: Lift pit must be dry. No seepage or damp areas are allowed.
This is a Work Cover requirement and will affect the long-term condition of the equipment.

MACHINE ROOM: Construction of the machine room by builder (if machine room is preferred by the customer) to Easy Living Home Elevators specifications.

CABINET ACCESS: A clear permanent access of W 600 X H 1980mm must be provided to the lift control cabinet.

ELECTRICAL: Provide electrical supply to the Lift Motor Cabinet and terminate to a lock off isolator, to the Easy Living Home Elevators lift sub-board. 20 Amp single phase dedicated supply is required.
- Lift supply cabling by electrical contractor.
- Wiring to comply with AS3000 requirements.

LIGHTING: Provide lighting to the lift control cabinet.

PHONE POINT: Provide single telephone point to the lift controller. An extension point to the main house line is permissible in private dwellings only.

LANDING DOORS: By Easy Living Home Elevators.

DOOR FINISHING: Door finishing by builder.

LANDING BUTTON: Landing buttons are typically located within the frame but if installed onto a wall, the landing button finishing is by builder.

OPTIONAL KEY SAFE: An access key safe is optional in private homes, please discuss if required with Project Manager. Builder to provide suitable location and install an access key safe-supplied by Easy Living Home Elevators, to permit 24 hour access in the event of a lift fault. Final location to be confirmed by Easy Living Home Elevators.

STORAGE AREA: Provide dry, clean and safe storage of the lift equipment on site. The location of the storage area shall be agreed with Easy Living Home Elevators and be close to the lift shaft and machine room.

STORAGE: Should the site not be ready for the installation works to commence upon equipment arrival, storage costs will apply.

SCAFFOLDING: Lift shaft scaffolding to be supplied to Easy Living Home Elevators specifications.

MAKING GOOD: For masonry shafts, building in and/or making good to lift doorframes, penetrations and floor sills.

BUILDERS LIFT: There is no provision for the lift to be used as a builders lift.

BINS: Bins to be supplied for rubbish removal.
